Fellow pilots at Keewatin,

Welcome to the Air Line Pilots Association, International!

Today the Canada Industrial Relations Board certified ALPA as your representative. You join more than 74,000 pilots at now 42 Canadian and U.S. airlines. Congratulations to you, and congratulations to the Keewatin ALPA Organizing Committee. The committee worked very hard and ran an extremely positive campaign. And they certainly demonstrated that they are pro-Keewatin, pro-pilot, and pro-ALPA!

Now that ALPA is your representative, we’ll establish an ALPA structure at Keewatin right away. The first step will be for ALPA’s VP of Administration, Capt. Tyler Hawkins, to appoint Keewatin pilots who will serve as your temporary representatives. We will send you their names immediately following their appointment, which will take place very soon.

The next step (in approximately 60 to 90 days) will be elections for permanent representatives and officers. If you submitted a membership card and $5.00 during the drive, you will be an ALPA member right away and will soon receive your ALPA number. For those who did not complete a membership card during the campaign, we will walk you through the process of how to submit ALPA's membership application.

Be assured, we will keep you informed every step along the way as you build your local union. Until your temporary representatives are announced, please contact Ron Rindfleisch from ALPA’s Representation Department if you have questions or concerns (Ron.Rindfleisch@alpa.org, 571-215-2233).

If you are involved in an aircraft accident or serious incident, please immediately call ALPA’s worldwide accident/serious incident hotline at 202-797-4180 (collect calls accepted). For other non-time-critical safety-related issues, please call our Engineering & Air Safety Department toll-free at 1-800-424-2470.

This may be a slow process in the beginning, but we see repeatedly that where a collaborative labour-management relationship exists, both the company and the pilots are able to accomplish mutually beneficially objectives.

The Keewatin pilots proved it is indeed your time! And now "It’s Time" for all Keewatin pilots to get to work and make your voices heard. Welcome aboard.
Sincerely,
