Fellow pilots,

Call for Volunteers!

The Keewatin MEC is looking for an expression of interest in creating and implementing a Grievance Committee.

ALPA pilot groups have made tremendous strides in negotiating substantial contract gains in recent years, but these accomplishments are meaningless if managements don’t comply with the terms they’ve agreed to. Pilot Grievance Committees play a critical role in ensuring that airline managements adhere to the contracts they’ve negotiated, which is why we are looking to establish a Keewatin Grievance Committee.

Your MEC is looking for reps to act as aircraft representation/grievance chairs. You would be the first point of contact when pilots experience issues with their respective operations or need guidance on how to proceed with issues that require an official resolution. Working with the MEC, you would help bring to their attention the issues that require a formal grievance process.

    During the ALPA Canada Board meetings this week, we discussed many of the benefits available to our members. One of those benefits is the universal ALPA sponsored $20,000 Basic Life coverage. The coverage is there in the event of a death of a covered Canadian resident who is a member of ALPA, regardless of location or cause of death.
