Fellow pilots,
This past week we agreed to our historic first Tentative Agreement as ALPA members.
Since joining ALPA last year, your Negotiating Committee and MEC have worked tirelessly to ensure we secure a contract that lays a strong foundation for future bargaining. I want to personally thank Captain Fraser Mackeen and Captain Matt Caissie for their personal sacrifices of time away from their families and responsibilities. I am proud of their dedication and perseverance to help in achieving this TA.
In a contract, especially a first one, you will not get everything you have asked for. However, you will secure gains in many areas that add value to the work we do. I believe it is crucial to be educated on any decision that impacts your life, and I hope everyone comes to our roadshows to stay engaged and informed on the TA.
Our strength and unity are critically important right now, and I look forward to speaking with many of you in the coming weeks.
