The Keewatin MEC is looking for an expression of interest in creating and implementing a Grievance Committee.
During the ALPA Canada Board meetings this week, we discussed many of the benefits available to our members. One of those benefits is the universal ALPA sponsored $20,000 Basic Life coverage. The coverage is there in the event of a death of a covered Canadian resident who is a member of ALPA, regardless of location or cause of death.
As professional pilots, we all understand the importance of using our Crew Resource Management skills to discuss issues openly and directly and we do not hesitate when the safety of flight is involved.
Please find attached the KEW pilot seniority list. Your MEC sincerely apologies for the delay in sending this, as it was our responsibility to provide it in March.
It has come to our attention that pilots on Thompson charters are having to travel 2 days at the start of their rotation.
We understand we are still learning and adapting to our new seniority bidding process.
We are pleased to share that Captain Brad Townsend has stepped up as a volunteer to serve as our new MEC Membership Committee Chair.
Please be aware Transport Canada representatives will be auditing Keewatin Air from March 3-7, 2025, in Winnipeg.
As we have noted in previous communications to our pilot group, the upcoming schedule will be the first one released that will reflect the bidding preferences of our pilots.
Yesterday’s scheduling issue has been resolved.
You should now be able to access our full schedules in Air Trails.
